Can I Lose Ten Pounds?

Diet Plans To Lose 10 Pounds in Two Weeks

My brother-in-law asked me "can I lose ten pounds in two weeks?" six months ago I would not have been the one anyone asked, I was 40 pounds overweight myself. But I got it together and lost 30 pounds and it is evident in my face alone that I am much happier and more energetic. "Do you have any bad eating habits?" I asked. To which his initial answer was "no!" well after some elbowing by his wife this changed and we discussed how he should stop eating his all-time favorite licorice and stop having that extra desert after the kids were in bed. Now that alone won't drop any 10 pounds in two weeks, but I bet that as long as the rest of his diet is healthy it will net him three to four pounds in that two week period. Maybe five weeks after he changes this and sticks with it, maybe starts substituting some more fruits and veggies for meats and snacks, it will add up to more than ten pounds.

If you re-read the above there are a lot of maybes in there. In the end it is all up to the individual, none of the above is for certain. I told his wife about a couple websites to go to for new recipes that contain less fat, calories and sodium and told him to educate himself via the internet about how many more calories he has to burn than what he takes in to lose ANY weight. Hopefully he will keep exploring and he will get this education, he will need it if he intends on being healthy the rest of his life.

No matter how much you know about weight loss, you are the only one who can do it. Making new food choices can be hard when you are craving, or worse, addicted to some of the high-calorie, high-fat foods that are available today. Ten pounds in two weeks is a little extreme. This is not even recommended because you could become ill in the process of trying to do it. If you ate a lot of bad, fatty foods several times during the day then you stand a good chance at a more rapid weight loss if you quit eating the snack foods and stopped eating so much at mealtime. This Supplemented by a walk, or better yet, a brisk walk if you can manage it, would work wonders. Focus on cutting out sweets and fatty meats, exercise 4 days a week and DON'T go back for seconds

Can I lose ten pounds? Sure you can, people do it all the time. And if you can keep that ten pounds off then next time you have an upcoming event you won't have to worry about dropping ten pounds, you will have dropped more than that!
